Midwest Osteopathy

Who We Are

Midwest Osteopathy

Our mission is to make people’s lives better, and we do this by permanently improving conditions obtained through injury and illness. Our aim is not only symptom relief, but treatment of the condition itself. We do this primarily through Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), a hands-on therapy developed and refined over the past 150 years, although soft tissue injections and other therapies are used as indicated*.

Meet Our Team

Anthony King, D.O.

As a kid from a small farm town in Upstate New York ("Western New York" to the locals), I grew up playing sports, saxophone, video and card games, and I always loved learning how things worked. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry before attending A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathy Medicine (KCOM) from 2010 to 2014. From there I followed my best friend, Mitchell Durante, up to outer Detroit, Michigan where I completed my residency training through Michigan State University in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (FM/OMT) before completing my Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM) fellowship under our long-time KCOM mentor, Dr. Michael Waddington, outside Hartford, Connecticut. I once again followed Dr. Durante to St. Louis where I've practiced as a Hospitalist physician in the BJC Medical Group from 2018 through 2023 when we opened up Midwest Osteopathy.

Mitchell Durante, D.O.

Originally from Sacramento, I grew up playing basketball and learning martial arts. I came to St. Louis to attend Undergrad at SLU and earned a degree in Mathematics before attending A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) from 2008 to 2013, spending my third year as a student fellow doing OMT. From there I completed my residency training in Internal Medicine (IM) at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital outside of Detroit and my fellowship training in NMM outside Hartford, Connecticut under Dr. Michael Waddington before coming back to St. Louis. I've practiced as a Hospitalist physician in the BJC Medical Group since 2017 where I'll continue to practice alongside being an NMM Specialist at Midwest Osteopathy.
